NOTE: Remember that frozen fruits and vegetables are a wonderful resource when fresh ones are difficult to get, or if you are running short on time. I recommend you always have in your freezer (organic, please): cauliflower rice, peas, sweet potatoes, wild blueberries, assorted berries, asparagus, broccoli, cherries, mango. In order to freeze ripe bananas and have them ready for smoothies and ice cream, peel them, slice them and place them on one layer in a parchment-lined tray. Freeze them for about 1 hour, and then place them all in a freezer safe container (it doesn’t matter if they are now in multiple layers), cover and refreeze for longer periods.
